About Culinary Arts Supports AIDS
This fund was created after the founder of My AIDS realized that his former passion in life really did not fit into his new passion. For the last 5 years, Anthony Polimeni has been fighting to help those living with HIV/AIDS throughout the United States and the world. As a former chef and restaurant owner, Anthony has seen first hand what the culinary world has to offer. After being diagnosed with HIV in 2006, he focused many of his talents on helping those living with HIV find the services they need to survive.
Now, he is bringing his two passions together. The love of helping those with HIV and his passion for food. Culinary Arts Supporting AIDS is a fund to help raise awareness of the importance of nutrition and education those infected or affected with HIV on how to eat and cook better.
The funds raised by CASA will directly support programs like My AIDS Cooking. My AIDS Cooking is a weekly blog giving its readers a nutritional tip, related recipe, and insight as to how to eat better while living with HIV. In addition to My AIDS Cooking are the classes that the program will offer. HIV agencies throughout the country will be able to download a lesson plan and partner with a local chef to teach first hand how to prepare health and delicious meals. Grants will be provided to help assist in teaching these classes when funds are available. Future hopes are to start providing a training program and food assistance.
A running total of funds raised will always be provided and accounting of the programs will be available as well. This program currently is not funded and is in development. Please help by donating or sponsoring Culinary Arts Supporting AIDS today.
